Final County Information
Hey Barracudas!!
It is almost County weekend!! We want to make sure you have as much info as possible, so I apologize in advance that this email will be long.
Practices: We will have practice the rest of the week, and we are encouraging swimmers to wear extra suits/clothes to cause drag for resistance training (ideas: board shorts, leggings, t-shirt/swim shirt, etc). On Friday, we will shift all age group practices to 9am-10am to allow for us to do a full team talk and county snack assembly line at 10am! Coach Amanda will send more info on that later today! Please be sure swimmers are attending as many practices as possible! Our morning practice attendance has been very low in the younger age groups.
County Drop Off: Please see the arrival/warm up times below for each age group for county. Coaches will meet the 10 and unders outside of the double doors at Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. All 11 and up swimmers can meet the coaches on deck. Look for the Barracuda sign. If you are going to be late, please text the coaches and let us know, so we are not worried about you.
County Pick Up: For all 10 and unders, we will walk the kids up the back stairs and meet you at the far end of the upper hallway at GA tech to pick up your child after they are done with their events. If your child is only swimming in a relay or two, we will bring all of the relay only kids up together after they are done with both relays. For 11 ups, we will make sure they get to the same stairs and then they will go up in groups or with coaches as needed. Please note that you cannot get on the deck as a parent unless you are volunteering. Text/call us if you need anything.
County Timeline:
Friday July 11th, 2025
Session 1 (Ages 15 -18)
- Arrive: 3:45pm (meet on the pool deck)
- Warmup B: 4:30pm-5:00pm (Lane 5 Scoreboard Pool)
- Start time: 5:30pm session concluded at approx. 8:20PM
Saturday July 12th, 2025
Session 2 (Ages 9 & 10)
- Arrive: 7:55am**Coaches will meet swimmers outside the double doors to the pool and walk swimmers down to the pool deck at 8:00am.
- Warmup B: 8:25-8:50am (Lane 7 Main Pool)
- Start Time: 9:15am session concludes at approx. 12:30pm
- This session will begin with an honorary heat swim by invited swimmers with disabilities.
Session 3 (Ages 13-14)
- Arrive: 1:00pm (meet on the pool deck)
- Warmup A: 1:30-2:00pm (Lane 4 Scoreboard Pool)
- Starting Time: 3:15PM session concludes at approx. 6:15PM
Sunday July 13th, 2025
Session 4 (Ages 8 & Under)
- Arrive: 7:50am**Coaches will meet swimmers outside the double doors to the pool and walk swimmers down to the pool deck at 7:55am.
- Warmup B: 8:20-8:40am (Lane 6 Main Pool)
- Start Time: 9:15AM session concludes at approx. 12:30pm
Session 5 (Ages 11-12)
- Arrive: 1:45pm (meet on the pool deck)
- Warmup C: 2:30-3:00pm (Lane 7 Scoreboard Pool)
- Start Time: 3:15pm session concludes at approx. 6:30PM

Parking: Please see: https://gatech.parkmobile.io/ to purchase parking pass. This site is controlled by Georgia Tech, please keep checking back for availability. A limited supply will be available for sale at the meet at a cost of $15 CASH ONLY. This keepsake booklet contains heat sheets for all sessions, team ads, graduating senior shout out and more.
Good Luck Ducks: Support Swim Across America and send your swimmer a Good Luck message! Available for pre-sale through NOON Wednesday: https://bit.ly/GCSLSAA Ducks can also be purchased onsite for $5 CASH ONLY before each session. Ducks will be delivered during warmups.
Volunteers: Just like dual meets, it takes a team of volunteers to run the GCSL Championships. Teams will be assigned volunteer slots; it is expected that parents be able to work the shift assigned in its entirety. Please visit the check in table in the lobby prior to your shift report time for directions on where to report. All volunteers please sign a safe sport waiver prior to arrival HERE. (BHCC: Suzanne Wieczorek will be sending out information on volunteers.)
Deck Access: Due to rules by Georgia Tech, parents are NOT allowed on deck. Your team should communicate meeting procedures for your team. Please allow plenty of time for increased traffic on campus and arrive early! (BHCC: We will meet the swimmers at the assigned times and locations above.)
Seating: ALL SEATING IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. There are no assigned seats and teams are not allowed to block off areas. Handicap seating is available and will require a pass issued by Georgia Tech. Please see the volunteer sign in table for directions.
Year-Round Clubs: Several area year-round club programs are league sponsors and will be set up in the hallway outside of the spectator area. If your swimmer has an interest in continuing their training, please check them out!
