Hey Barracudas!

A few important updates about the last few practices and the arrival/warm up times for county!! Please read all of the information below! Sorry in advance for the length!!

1. Practice Tonight: All county swimmers are invited to attend practice tonight from 6-7pm. It will focus on diving, relays, turns, and finishes. Swimmers should continue to wear leggings to future practices. 

2. Practice Thursday: Practice Thursday will be shorter than the rest of the week! We are going to warm up and do a few stroke items, but do not be surprised if we end early. We will also give everyone a few minutes extra to arrive in the morning. 10 and unders will start around 8:30am, and the 11 ups will start at 9:30am. 

3. Practice Friday: Practice on Friday for all county swimmers will be from 9am-10am. This practice will only be for county swimmers, so that they can get the most attention possible with the entire team being in one hour. 

4. Potluck Friday at 10am: All Barracudas (county swimmers or not) are invited to bring food to share and attend our county breakfast potluck! Please sign up to bring food, and show up to send all of our county swimmers off on a great meal together!

5. County Arrival Times: Please see the UPDATED arrival/warm up times for each age group for county. Coaches will meet the 10 and unders outside of the double doors at Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. All 11 and up swimmers can meet the coaches on deck. Look for the Barracuda sign. If you are going to be late, please text the coaches and let us know. 

Friday July 12th, 2024

Session 1 (Ages 15 -18)

• Arrive: 3:30pm (meet on the pool deck)
• Warmup A: 4:00pm-4:30pm (Lane 5 Scoreboard Pool)
• Start time: 5:30pm session concluded at approx. 8:20PM

Saturday July 13th, 2024

Session 2 (Ages 9 & 10)

• Arrive: 7:55am**Coaches will meet swimmers outside the double doors to the pool and walk swimmers down to the pool deck at 8:00am.
• Warmup B: 8:25-8:50am (Lane 7 Main Pool)
• Start Time: 9:15am session concludes at approx. 12:30pm
• This session will begin with an "honorary heat" swum by invited swimmers with disabilities.

Session 3 (Ages 13-14)

• Arrive: 1:00pm (meet on the pool deck)
• Warmup A: 1:30-2:00pm (Lane 4 Scoreboard Pool)
• Starting Time: 3:15PM session concludes at approx. 6:15PM

Sunday July 14th, 2024

Session 4 (Ages 8 & Under)

• Arrive: 7:50am**Coaches will meet swimmers outside the double doors to the pool and walk swimmers down to the pool deck at 8:00am.
• Warmup B: 8:20-8:40am (Lane 6 Main Pool)
• Start Time: 9:15AM session concludes at approx. 12:30pm

Session 5 (Ages 11-12)

• Arrive: 1:45pm (meet on the pool deck)
• Warmup C: 2:30-3:00pm (Lane 7 Scoreboard Pool)
• Start Time: 3:15pm session concludes at approx. 6:30PM

6. Parent Volunteers: If you are volunteering at county, you will have to sign off on the Safe Sport Waiver. You can do this ahead of time to save time!

7. County Ducks: Sign up to send your kid a good luck duck at county by donating $5 or more to the Swim Across America cancer foundation. See the attached flyer for more details.
