    County & Future Practices

    Hi Barracuda Families!!

We had an amazing meet last night, and the coaches are SO excited to take this team to county!!! Please see the important information below about county and practices for the next two weeks!

    County Practice Schedule

Due to the reduced numbers at practice, we are shifting the practice schedule to combine some age groups and focus more on the needs of the swimmers doing 25s vs. 50s together. All swimmers who can swim the length of the pool unassisted are invited to continue attending practices whether they have made county or not. Practices will be focused on the county level swimmer, and may be harder/longer than what swimmers are used to.

    County Practice Schedule (July 1-12)

    Age GroupPractice Time
    10 & Under8:15-9:30am
    11 & Up9:30-11:00am

****** NO PRACTICE ON JULY 4TH OR 5TH.*******

We will have night practice on July 1st & 8th from 6-7pm and on July 10th from 7pm-8pm. There will be no night practice next Wednesday, July 3rd.

    Relays Attached

Please see the attached list of the swimmers who made the final A relays! If your swimmer is on this list, and not planning to attend county, please let me know immediately!!! Starting Monday, our team is fined $100 per swimmer that we declare in county, but does not show up.

    Individual Events

How High Did We Go: Over the last several years we have kept a record of how high we pulled swimmers to compete in the county meet. Since swimmers may qualify in 5 strokes but can only swim 3 at the meet, this leaves room for those placed beyond 50th place to swim. Take a look at the attached spreadsheet to get an idea of how high your child could be seeded and still make it individually to county. If you are planning to attend county, I must declare the entries before we know if your child has made it. Please be sure to sign up immediately.

    Spirit of the League

The league's county tradition is to kick off the meet on Saturday morning with an honorary swim for any registered swimmer with physical, emotional, or mental disabilities. For many teams these swimmers represent the spirit of the league by bringing neighboring teams together as they cheer these athletes toward the finish line each week. Their efforts often surpass that of our county qualifiers. We would like to give the opportunity for them to participate in a combined heat of boys and girls 25 freestyle Saturday morning at 9am. If this applies to your child and they would like to participate, please email me back with the following before Sunday, so I can submit it to the county: ATHLETES NAME > TEAM > AGE > DISABILITY

    County Spirit Wear

The deadline to preorder county spirit wear was extended to Sunday, June 30th at 6pm. Please check out their website and order to get your merch before the county meet at the lowest cost.

    RiverOak Photography

RiverOak will be doing professional photography at the county meet. If you would like to get professional action pictures of your child swimming during county, sign up now as spots will fill up before county.
